It will also have information on how to organise your flights, travel insurance and Australian/New Zealand Working Holiday Visa.
Flights, Visas and Travel Insurance
You will be responsible for organising these aspects of your trip. We provide contact details of companies who can organise flights, travel insurance and appropriate visas in your Confirmation.
Full payment
Full payment is due 12 weeks prior to departure.
Pre-departure
Approximately 6 weeks prior to departure we organise a pre-departure briefing where we run through important aspects of your trip such as arrival arrangements, accommodation, living arrangements, medical matters, our staff in Australia and New Zealand and finding work. You’ll also be given a handbook and Sport Lived hoodie. Most of our pre-departure briefings are held in Nottingham.
First Few Days
Upon arrival in Australia or New Zealand you will be met at the airport by a Sport Lived representative where you will be taken to your accommodation. During your first few days your programme co-ordinator will help you get settled e.g. open a bank account, apply for a tax file number, show you how to travel from your accommodation to your sports club etc. We will also organise an introductory social event during the first week of your programme.
